On 11^th January 2023, Horseed International University, Mogadishu, Somalia and Gazi, Istanbul, Turkey signed a five-year crucial and strategic cooperation agreement. The purpose of the agreement is to achieve academic cooperation between the two universities. The agreement covers procedures and principles of education, academic and cultural cooperation between Gazi University and Horseed International University. This cooperation agreement between Gazi University and Horseed International University would enable both parties to reap the following benefits:

• The cooperation agreement would promote quality education delivery to the students in both universities through quality cultural preparation and development; provision of academic support to the students; implementation of education and training programs; provision of quality research and library facilities and arrangement of internships and all other relevant educational activities.  
• The cooperation agreement would promote quality research program in both universities through organization of joint research projects, conferences, meetings, seminars, workshops, scientific activities and joint courses and through arrangement of exchange of research activities and publication of research.
• The cooperation agreement would increase student-faculty interaction between these two universities with sound student retention, self-esteem and responsibility as well exposure to diverse perspectives of academic studies through encouragement of exchange of lecturers and students in academic units.
• The cooperation agreement would increase the visibility of Gazi university not only in Somalia but in the whole of Africa as a continent.
